and electing bernie wouldn't have done a bit of good. the government of the usa was in the hands of 'progressives' throughout the 30's, and you see the result all around you. doesn't anyone get a history class anymore?

well, it's always nice when a public voice reports the reality of the electoral system. but unfortunately, knowing the system is inflexible is not good news. a third party is not the answer. politician rule is not the answer. your problem is not which party, it is the reality that any party will be owned by the rich. when 536 people make the major decisions for the nation, you only have to buy half plus one. and they are bought. what have you got against instituting democracy, so that more than half of the electorate have to approve of proposals put by the public service? do you really think politicians are more concerned with the welfare of the nation than the ordinary people?
