  1. unfortunately, all you vote for is politicians. in a democracy, citizens vote for laws, public action, and national plans. referendum and initiative are the tools, and accessible public administration are the foundation. but usa is not, never was, a democracy. it is a variety of oligarchy, effectively a plutocracy, with help from politicians and generals. and its people are not citizens, but only civilians. seemingly endless resources, no strong neighbors, if ever a nation should have flourished, it is ol' tisofthee. instead, a brutal, murderous sewer, sinking into general poverty, while threatening global war. really, god must be laughing.
