  1. you see, 'capitalism' is not really a political term. in the political sphere, functional government is by an elective oligarchy. by no accident, those oligarchs are in hock to large money, corporate or private. so, the 'meta' government is plutocracy. but capitalism sounds so much better. an experiment with lab rats revealed, that if food was supplied in excess, rat culture decayed and became utterly dysfunctional. it works that way among homo sapiens superbus, as well. in time, society collapses, if only because no one will fight for it. impending climate catastrophe adds a piquant touch, this collapse could save extinction, through reversion to hunter-gatherer society, or hasten it with catastrophic wars over remaining livable land. interesting times!
