  1. prc hopes that taliban is sane, and will do business with them so long as that hope not badly mistaken. why should they not, much to gain on both sides. russia too has an interest in central asian prosperity, and resulting peace. if taliban hopes to remain master of afghanistan, they need some international support, both trade and military patronage, or they will soon have usa back in their land. i don't know who set off the recent bombs at the airport, i would guess some splinter group hoping to recruit on a 'holier than thou' program, with no intention to co-operate with anyone. perhaps this group will find themselves in a hill fort, eating roots and leaves. afghanistan is a basket case, ultimately the handiwork of the cia. hard to imagine the usa getting back in, while every farmer has an ak-47, and a memory. prc can transform the place, ussr made considerable progress before cia slithered into view. they aren't poor on purpose, it was done to them by usa.
