  1. swarming the scs with warships is newish, and sanctions and threats are newish. prc fears sudden attack with nuclear missiles, and wants usa far away, so that long range missiles can not knock them out before they can launch retaliation. in my view, a very logical desire. usa took exactly the same view when ussr offered missiles to cuba. usa agreed to remove missiles from turkey, ussr took back missiles from cuba. but now, usa is using military threats as a commercial competitive device. so now it seems attractive to gamble on nuclear catastrophe. indian government is assisting the usa, for its own internal political advantages. diverting attention from the hopeless management india has had since independence, presumably.
