  1. only 'practice' widely known is burning to death. once you give that up, you need a transition 'practice' to install disrespect, because otherwise all those widow burnings become murder got away with.. the situation is similar in south-eastern usa. once forced to give up slavery, you have to disrespect the ex-slaves, to show you still think slavery was not a crime. humanity is still half way between monkeys and angels
