only a few. india is polite. but india has decided to compensate for its hopeless domestic management by shaking its fist at prc, under the shade of the usa. so i am glad to learn a bit about india's view of the world, and the likelihood of initiating ww3 in the himalayas.
and i learn that mr gupta hasn't grasped the essential reality of china's society: it is managed by a small group of smart people, who command a large group of smart people, who make the nation go as they think best. those people are not god-like in their capabilities, but the management of prc is visibly the best in the world over the last 40 years, with daylight second and india also ran.
so attempting to make fun of their radical actions has a hollow quality.
i think it is way too soon, to say "ccprc has lost its mind! numbers on share markets are sacred!"
instead, a little humility would be in order, along the lines of "recent developments have left me amazed, i shall be following the progress of the most successful government in the world with great disquiet."
