  1. india and china have no intrinsic reasons for strife. they face in different directions. modi makes border trouble to disguise the pathetic quality of governance he offers. to be fair, india is a basket case , and it's not likely to improve under politician rule. because modi insists on starting a war over barren ground, prc must stabilize the situation with some kind of formal occupation. there is a long-term problem with water. some of india grows its food with water that comes from the chinese side of the himalayas. this could lead to war, except india is too weak to threaten prc. perhaps by being usa's attack dog, india can get control of the headwaters? i think not. it is a disastrous fantasy. co-operation and negotiation might have succeeded, but too late now.

  2. he did not say olympics! try not to see india as an enemy. the modi government is looking for trouble, to 'solve' on behalf of india. the motives are typical and seem successful. opposition to modi weak. from here india's problems are common human problem's - too many of us, not enough water, land and sunshine. has prc invited india to participate in the bri plan? india would profit from bri, much more than by being usg gun-dog.
