  1. this is not a war of conquest. putin is using war as a bargaining tool. and it's working, perhaps: ukraine/zelensky has admitted to talks about neutralization. without foreign 'encouragement,' none of this would have taken place, the war is the result of usa/nato policy of 'enrolling' every nation in europe. this is imperialism though threats and bribes. putin finally decided the risks of war was less than those of passivity. he may have made the winning choice, , too soon to tell.
