  1. islam is narrow-minded. "there is no god but god, and mohammed is his prophet" was a very inspiring war-cry, carried them a long way. in modern times, various terrorist groups rely on fundamental islam to unite and inspire action against great odds. so, it's right to be phobic. still, have to live with them, even if everyone keeps one hand on the .45. the basic problem is the need of many people to have a religion, and as none have any scientific base, each must be supported by irrational aggression. the cure is simple, but apparently impossible. it's just homo sap. species' limitation. it won't be the death of us, unless some religious nutter gets hold of scientific weapons. which has happened, often. just another aspect of the struggle to maintain life on earth. and don't feel too superior, if you have graduated to rational and secular society. the current gravest danger to life on earth is the usa, who would claim to be one too. simple greed is a more potent danger than religion, currently. their greed has reached toxic intensity.
