  1. india is one of many nations, still in the grip of religion. mostly muslim, nowadays, hinduism confined to india, but that is a big confinement, some christian nations still pay attention to god. and the jews are rabid in their defense of religion and nation, being surrounded by enemies who have very good reason to hate them. but there are many secular nations, sometimes nominal. they have problems too. humanity seems too stupid to survive. we have real problems, arising from over-population of the planet. survival needs planning and action, directed by intellect, and our masters are only interested in getting and staying in office. sometimes through election, sometimes through a cosy understanding with the military, occasionally through claimed appointment by god. not good enough, we can see the sand castles they have built being destroyed by the tide of time.
