  1. Zesky may be right not to retreat out of Donezk. The only real tool that makes it hard for the russian army to have their way is the incrusting of the ukrainian heartless army with the civilian population that Russia wants to save. Once out ot the civilian areas, it will be open battles and the russians will just use overwhelming fire to crush them. Therefore, the advise may certainly come from western observers.
