  2. The price of gasoline is not explained by the price of crude alone. I remember crude at $120 and gasoline less than $3 a gallon.

  3. Many countries will chose China because of the price. More often than not, speed does not matter. I have the cheapest phone possible and it is way faster than me. Speed may matter for ego purposes, or in some specific applications for which we use computers rather than phones. The big market seems to be phones.

  4.  @edennis8578  I know about lag. it was not. I am talking way back. Crude oil is almost 100% convertible into products, many are way more expensive than gasoline. One gallon of Tar for example is about $30. And refineries and transportation handle HUGE amounts.
