  1. Snow, freeze, wind, etc... will be exactly the same for both sides. Russia and Ukraine are used to harsh winters. Because Ukraine is relying on tech from countries with less experience with winter and Russia basically trying on its own tech, winter will definitely give an advantage to Russia. Many components in the western gadgetry may have issues operating to their expected level in harsh conditions. Just look at who is doing better around the North Pole, and imagine the North Pole is brought down to Ukraine for few months.
