  1. 2:40 this claim seems far fetched , the sassnids were barely able to win against a numerically inferior army of masruq (who was independent but paied tribute to axum), saying that the sassanids were able to block the indian trade is unrealistic, the sassanids didnt even fight against axum itself(which had a professional standing army unlike masruq) and their navy was basically nonexistent while axums navy is older than the sassanid empire itself, axum wouldve collapsed if the redsea and indian ocean , obviously that didnt happen and the axumites kept both the red sea and indian ocean trade for much much later than that (actually even after the rise of islam), the archeological evidence from the time confirms that axum still traded with both rome and india at the time, so i highly doubt the statement in the video, axum probably stopped buying silk from asia and selling it to rome after that (this was what sparked the disagreement between the sassanids and axum).
