Tigray is the size of Switzerland in a country that is larger than france and spain combined go figure, with only 4% of ethiopias population , it would've been an even lower % ,if we didnt count ethnic tigrayans living in other parts of ethiopia and those who fled from tigray to central ethiopia. So overall i think the situation is hugely exaggerated to present the new government of ethiopia which isnt very pro-eu as an incompetent bunch.

Tigray is a very tiny portion of Ethiopia and its scarcely populated with little to no economicsignificance, actually most of ethiopias regions are pretty useless, if ethiopia was to even lose some of them, ethiopia wont experience an economic downfall it might even be better for them. u see the only economically significant region in the entire horn of Africa is central Ethiopia(which is a rather patriotic or even nationalistic core of their nation) , the peripheral regions of ethiopia and even other countries like Djibouti heavily depend on central ethiopia to supply almost everything that comes to mind food,electricity, infrastructure u name, thats why eritrea(which was a very comfortable area to live in at the time) f**ked up immediately after they separated from Ethiopia, no food , no electricity, no water , no investments= no functioning economy, tigray is even less resourceful than eritrea ,currently over 70% of what tirgrayans consume is being supplied to them from Ethiopia ,so the tigray war (which is currently at halt) hasnt caused any significant difficulties for the Ethiopian economy ,which is why their economy still grew by 6% in 2021 ,which is quite decent if u ask me.
