There are no rebels in the adiss abeba to asseb(eritrea) route, it's sparsely populated area cuz it's not a very hospitable place to live .

@mohamedsonofkemetegypt979 uae and saudi arabia expressed no opposition to ethiopias endevours( probably because eritrea suppresses wahhabism in saudis case) ,egypt would be alone in this and if egypt supported eritrea israel would naturally support ethiopia. Also dont forget the gerd exists egypt should focus on having good relations with ethiopia instead of pushing it into israel.

Both Russia and the US want ethiopia to have a sea coast, the difference is Russia doesn't want eritrea to fall but the US does.

There is an ethnic group ( called afar) that occupies more than half of Eritreas coast and they happen to despise the eritrean regime ,ethiopia could annex their lands into ethiopia justifying it by the fact that the afar don't just hate the Eritrean government but most ethnic afars actually live in ethiopia along with their symbolic sultanate (very pro ethiopian ) and they want all afars to unit under a new country or a federal state inside ethiopia.

@HolaBruv u are mistaken, Greeks indeed invented the name aethiopia to refer to black Africans specifically Nubians ,but ezana took the name from Nubia after he conquered kush and appropriated it for his own country. He used habeshat,Axum and ethiopia interchangeably so did the rest of the emperor's.

@HolaBruv axumites were not tigrinya or tigre , they were a few people who spoke ge'ez and did mention both agame and tigre as separate people they subjugated , axumites are currently extinct (has been the case since 900ad)

@HolaBruv ethiopia has 7 semitic speaking ethnic groups which includes Amhara, tigrinya, gurage, harari,silte,welane,zay and the extinct gafat and harla. Half of Ethiopia speaks semitic languages as a mother tongue while many non semitic people adopt Amharic as it is the national language. Being semitic or not has nothing to do with claiming Axum , axumites themselves have been extinct for a long time but it's capital,and what remains of the empire became ethiopia.

@HolaBruv agazi is a invalid term invented by tigrinya ethonationalists to oppose Amhara domination(which had no challenger for almost a 1000 years ) , there is no evidence to suggest axumites used this name to refer to some kind of union like u refer they used axumites for themselves and habeshat for all ethiosemitic speakers thats how south Arabians referred to them aswell. And finally no Abyssinia was never the name of Ethiopia only foreigners referred to it as Abyssinia(which is a latin derivation of habesha) , ethiopians always called ethiopia "ethiopia" and that can be proved both by Portuguese accounts on ethiopia and the extant writings and letters of Ethiopian emperors from the middle ages ( a good example is amde tsions letter to the ethiopian community in Jerusalem, 14th century ad )

@HolaBruv ethiopia always had Muslims in it's territory since the time of Axum and after the ascension of yekuno amlak to power in the 12th century that continued to be the case , at some point in era of Zara yacob to gelawdeos, fetegar(modern day arsi region of ethiopia) which was still a majority Muslim area was the temporary capital of Ethiopia, some emperors were born there, this is the tip of the Ice berg as shewa was a majority Muslim area aswell so was dawaro(western hararge,Bali(bale),wej(silte),harla(hararage),... the same story goes for animists ethiopia after the expansions of amde tsion had large animist+pagan population until Zara yacob converted a large percentage into christianity , a notable example of pagan ethiopians are old gurages and gafats who were strong pagans. Tribes like the Maya,doba,yemsa,kembata,... Were pagan/animist aswell.

@HolaBruv adulis was never a kingdom, d'mt was ruled by proto ethiosemitic speakers before the north and south ethiosemitic split happened around 200bc-1ad so it belongs to all ethiosemitic speakers and like i said the axumites are extinct. Axun control spread as far as northern shewa at some poiny so ur statement is incorrect about its territory

@HolaBruv delusions and false history. 1st ge'ez speakers =\= sabaeans, saba had sone control over the horn but ethiosemitic speakers were never the same with sabaeans , this has been proved by how distant ge'ez is to the sabaean language. 2nd adulis was never a proper city before axum and was even referres to as "a large village" bu roman records in early axumite times , matara and some others were proper towns however. Adulis was not special it was axum that made adulis significant by eliminating the other port cities that existed before axum in the african part of the redsea to create a monopoly. And the last part of ur statement is so outrages and out of touch that i need not comment on it , u need to self reflect and actually start reading historical stuff before u go on silly rants.

@HolaBruv well u are not wrong in pointing out the arrogance but with in that time when amharas were the hegemon they did rule eritrea specifically in the time between the era of amdetsion(who reconquered eritrea from the beja) till the turks took it.

No just that sabaean didnt give birth to ge'ez the two languagues arw so far apart that some linguists dont even cluster them in the same branch of semitic. Sabaean had no descendants simple as. Ge'ez only adopted its script and thats about it, All semitic scripts are written from right to left so was unvocalized ge'ez and sabaean, ge'ez became vocalized and started being written from left to right when it became an abugida(instead of an abjad like arabic,hebrew,sabaean,...) Around the 4th century ad.

Abyssinians arrived into ethiopia through the sea and were a mainly maritime people for upwards of 2000 years , ethiopia only became less and less maritime because of Arab hostility towards ethiopians on the red sea.
