@Dejan Nincic Militarilyspeaking i dont think Ethiopia is necessarily weak , from what i have read "the rebels" are actually the ex-government of Ethiopia and had most of ethiopias military assets plus the US likes the old Ethiopian government so their current government gets alot of sanctions more over the current government still controls like half of fhe rebellious region (the region is pretty tiny btw ) so idk man ethiopia was able to invade somalia and force a regime change that takes some military capability Ethiopia is also a very mountainous country (has 70-80% of africas mountains ) so maybe they'll use it against egypt( since the country is a giant fortress it would be a nightmare to invade so egypt wont be able to secure thwir interests using an invasion

How would egypt be able to invade one of the most mountains countries on earth which is 3 Frances away from egypt plus has a population of 100million Ethiopia and egypt had 2-3 wars ethiopia won all of them so what changed , nothing Egypt shouldn't change its attitude plus drop the"we own the nile"claim and appeal as a trusted partner to ethiopia if they do that maybe Ethiopians will stop hating egypt and a deal might be reached but looking at the history of these, two countries it seems about impossible egypt is after all one of the main reasons eritrea exists even the party that leads eritrea was established in egypt i dont see Ethiopians forgiving such an atrocity, eritrea literally has the title of "the north korea of africa" its one of those countries that shouldn't have been allowed to exist (other eg.Somalia,ruwanda,Djibouti,benin,...) plus it seems like ethiopia has done ultra nationalists who would invade the whole horn of africa if they were allowed like all ultra nationalists they probably won't be seating around a table and using diplomacy to fix problems All this only means unless ethiopia is threatened wuth ginormous sanctions(which probably only make them become a prochinese from prowestern) they wont stop building the dam and egypt will keep on instigating conflict inside of ethiopia hoping to get a more prorgyptian government at some point or make the country collapse
