The reason why people believe they were afroasiatic is simply because thier presence in afroasiatic speaking parts of the world is far longer than that of their time in europe they had lived in North africa and the levant before they migrated to Europe what did northafricans and Levantines speak? afroasiatic languages so it makes sense to suspect that they took those languages with them to europe ,the cultural similarities are also used to future solidify this claim and i dont see anything wrong with that Think about it there is no way these neolithic farmers came from else where certainly to from central europe but migrated there later
