As a fellow 'half'Ethiopian i am sory to say u are wrong Blacks were enslaved for a shorter time plus we were as racist as the ottomans think about it our justification for enslaving darker toned people were that they are affected by the curse of ham and the claim that they live in jungles without civilization so atleast they would be able to experience civilization with us (as slaves) doesnt this sound a little racist and the slaves were more categorized by skincolor aswell but this strated fading away as semitic speaking Ethiopians mixed with cushutic speakers on larger scale making them almost indistinguishable skincolor wise except in some isolated regions (compare the faces on the frescos in yemerhana (11th century)and the much later 18th century manuscripts u will see the difference) Before that nilots (darkskinned) sold for cheap while cushitic speakers(reddish skin) sold for a higher price Doesnt this make Ethiopia or rather abyssinia as racist

@Luciana Romulus U do know that turks by the time they reached anatolia looked moee like iranians of central asia with a bit of middle eastern admixture right plus a lot of anatolian turks who later facilitated this slavery were native(greeks,armenians,other indoeuropeans) who were culturaly assimilated by the turks back when the seljuks and ottomans first enterd anatolia that would make them Caucasians aswell so ur statement is a little hypocritical

Only under islamic empires were there any significant number of white slaves the islamic empire werent the only middle eastern empires to ever exist infact they were the last middle eastern empires there were dozens of empires before them like assyria,the akkadian empire,the persian empires,the himyarites,nabateans,Egyptians, the axumite empire,... all of which had white slave populations that were either small or non existent
