@KayKay-us1kl i am actually pretty sure Frankincense which goes to Europe mostly comes from oman and Ethiopia i mean both of them have a long history of selling it to Europe for thousands of years and both of them built massive empires using this trade among other things

@letthelionroar4614 i know both the adal empire(which was both Somali and muslim Ethiopian) and ajuran empire(fully Somali) ,but u don't seem to know about axum which was according to the persians one of the four greatest powers and it alao stretched from southern Egypt to the omovalley(in southern Ethiopia) from north to south and sudan to yemen from west to east neither ajuran nor adal came close to achieve such a height and also axum controlled the entire red sea so only azumite ships were allowed to sail on the red sea those who tried to use the red sea with out their(axums) consent were usually killed or captured and turned to a slave (one of the slaves actually converted the king of axum to Christian) and for 2 thousands years there was no richer or more famous than the port of adulis in the entire east africa and redsea (which was destroyed around the 8th -11thcentury ad) but in modern history yes before the civil war Mogadishu was the most famous port in eastafrica ,and i do know that Somalia was pretty rich and developed before the war with Ethiopia(which destroyed both economies) honestly speaking the confederation that was recommended by fidelcastro was not a really bad idea it would've made things a thousand times better but what can u do tribalism and stuff like that ruin good things

Actual lack of resources was never a cause of poverty in Ethiopia it has the biggest population of live stock in africa and is also the source of the nile plus a climate similar to the Mediterranean but the horn of Africa is unstable because its a very strategic place who controls Ethiopia and the horn can control the source of the nile plus bab el madeb where 10% of the worlds trade passes through u can guess why the countries there are in shambles

@mefobills There are barely any navigable rivers and suitable land for irrigation in africa because of its cursed geography, russia is a bread basket because it has flat plains, africa while having few mountains except in eastern africa and atlas most of the land is still very rocky, uneven and overall a nightmare for a farmer thats why blacks and whites fight over suitable land in south Africa, its just too rare u either dont have water or dont have suitable land for irrigation so they depend on rain ,Egypt and sudan are probably the only african countries that are fully responsible for their shortage of wheat and other crops since they have both the suitable land and an abundance of water (the nile) but they still import wheat.

Thats not arabic but u are not that far Some Ethiopians speak a group of languages called ethiosemitic Semitic languages similar to arabic and hebrew but they are frkm the mostly extinct branch of South semitic which was once dominant in the arabian peninsula but now limited to Ethiopia and Eritrea plus some isolated groups in yemen Btw this branch of semitic is older than arabic by alot
