  1. Decades ago, I read "Secret Weapons of WWII" by Gerald Pawle, which is about the inventions created by the DMWD, including their work on "Swiss Roll" and the "Bombardon". The book I read was published by Ballentine in the US in the 60s. Apparently it was first published in the UK as "The Secret War1939-45". Interesting read.
