  1. wrt the question about books by IJN veterans, in the late 60s Ballantine published a large number of WWII books by vets. One I quite enjoyed was "Suicide Submarine" by Yutaka Yokota. As the title implies, Yokota trained to pilot a Kaiten.
    2
