@eamon821 I'm sure Bethlehem Steel would have been happy to build a replacement turret. The other three should have been available from the Admiralty for a pittance. She probably would have been completed as oil fired, so her 18 coal fired boilers would probably have been replaced with half that number of small tube oil fired boilers. The change in boilers probably would enable the elimination of the after funnel. Feature creep would probably result in a larger forward superstructure and larger fore mast. Casemate mounted secondaries were still a thing in the 20s. When the Nevadas and Pennsylvanias were modernized, their casemate mounts were relocated from the hull to the superstructure, rather than replaced by turrets, so Salamas would probably retain the casemate secondary. Add torpedo bulges, and some single shot 4" AA guns, and call it a day. More than anything else, I suspect Salamis would have looked something like the QEs after their 1930ish rebuilds.
