@metaknight115 I pondered that myself. Both the center and southern forces started from Borneo, so the allocations could have easily been shifted around. Say, send both Yamatos and the Fusos through the strait. The Yamatos to break trail, because they could take the most punishment, with the Fusos bringing up the rear, where they would be relatively fresh, to attack the invasion force, while the Yamatos retire to lick their wounds. They are all faster than the USN standards, so if they survive the "T" interception, the USN BBs may be out of the fight.
