@padurarulcriticsicinic4846 I have pondered how the RN deployed it's ships. Each force had one new BB and one decrepit battlecruiser. If KGV and PoW were together, both with the latest armament and fire control, it would have been a more interesting fight, especially if the cruisers closed at the same time for a torpedo attack, but if Bismark had gone south of Iceland, it would have hit Repulse and Hood, both long overdue for modernization. On the other hand, the southern force had air cover.

At the end of WWI ships requisitioned from Brazil and Chile were offered to those countries. At the start of the war, the Admiralty had also requisitioned four destroyers and two cruisers that were building in the UK for Greece. At the end of the war, the three surviving Medea class destroyers and both of the cruisers, Birkenhead and Chester, went to the breakers. The question is were these ships offered to Greece, before being scrapped? If so, why did they go to the breakers instead? Thanks!

@lt_darkseekerantique3911 in the case of Hermes, Eagle, Saratoga and Lexington, the flight deck more or less follows the curve of the bow. In the Courageous class, iirc, there was an aerodynamic theory behind the curve, but I don't recall the reasoning or where I read it.
