  1.  @kemarisite  I have been considering the Deutschlands, and they seem more of a throwback to the pre-WWI Armored Cruisers, which were sometimes referred to as "second class battleships" as they tended to be just a bit faster, with slightly smaller guns and a bit less armor, than a BB. The US Tennessee and Italian Pisa classes mounted 10" guns when the usual BB armament was 12", and they could make 22-23kts vs 18-21 for a BB. The Deutschlands seem to fit right in: 11" guns vs 8" treaty cruisers and 15-16" BBs, slower than a treaty cruiser, but faster than a USN standard or QE or R-class BB.
