  1.  @rhedosaurus2251  even Nagato could handily outrun the USN Standards. It's possible that none of the USN DDs had any torpedoes left. It was demonstrated that heavy cruisers could disable a Kongo with gunfire. Nagato and Yamato would probably be left for the airdales.
