blink off topic, but I didn't know Furlan had died too. The number of B5 cast members that died way too young is getting exceptionally long.

Jerry Doyle, another B5 cast member gone too soon, died at 60.

@EinhanderSn0m4n you do need to admit it's odd. Seven people who played major characters gone and Furlan was the oldest at 65. Biggs was only 44.

@albertorepetto2909 France took Tunisia in the 1880s. Since the turn of the century, France and the UK had been making noises supportive of Italian control of Libya. I think Italy could have walked out of the carve-up of the Ottoman Empire with Libya, if they had not already taken it.

That is how Italy came to have Libya as a colony. Taken by force of arms from the Ottoman. Of course, the irony is, Italy could have gotten Libya for free after WWI, while the UK and France were carving up the rest of the Ottoman Empire. The Ottomans had ordered a new protected cruiser from Ansaldo, the Drama. Drama was to be a sister to two cruisers of similar design already in Ottoman service. When the old Ottoman sultan was overthrown, the new regime refused to pay for it. It sat on the slipway at Ansaldo for a time, until the war started and the Italian government sized it. The ship was completed for the RM, and named "Libia". In 1921, the RM sent Libia on a world cruise. When the ship visited San Francisco, a documentary film of the visit was made by a very young Frank Capra. I found that film on youtube a while back.
