  1. When I saw the first report why the merger was spiked, my first thought was "Nissan management thought Honda would pay their bills, out of the kindness of it's heart?" Working for decades in the US, I became used to delusional management, like Ford's Farley insisting Ford will "be the Porsche of off road". Idiocy. But I always thought of the Japanese as a bit more connected to reality.
