  1. Trump moved the goalpost. The convention was clearly test marketing the narrative that "Trump is chosen by God". That notion was trotted out repeatedly, every night. They probably have TV commercials in production now, with Franklin Graham and any other faith leader they can get on board, to spread the "chosen by God" narrative. To people of faith, whether independent or Democrat, there is no counter-argument to "chosen by God".
