  2. The 3 way intersections wouldn't be T intersections, they would be Y intersections. Y intersections aren't great from a safety perspective, however this could be in large part due to the irregularity of their use leading to unfamiliarity with them, and/or the nature of the places they are typically used. That said, I imagine the use of roundabouts would negate the problem altogether.
