One thing you need to remember is that of the 4 levels (1. ready for all offensive operations, 2. Limited offensive ops, 3. All defensive, 4. Limited defensive) Germany classed it's troops at in WW2, about 120-130 were level 1 at the start of Barbarossa, at the start of 1942 German offensive operations it was about 30.

@me303286 a lot of Russian manufactured equipment relied of western components that they cannot get anymore. The countries supporting Ukraine make up and majority of the world's GDP and its weapons manufacturing. This is the kind of thing Russia is up against. Even countries they traditionally support Russia have already announced they will not support the referendums including China, India, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Russia doesn't even have support from its allies for these actions.
