  1.  @1968Christiaan  well if we're betting on technological development which may or may not why not bet on fusion? The fact is it's too late in the climate game to simply hope that a new technology might save us. Batteries are great for balancing the grid but either the technology, the production or the raw material supply chains are ready and won't be during the decisive few years remaining.
