@ОксанаСнежинская-у9е well Russia doesn't have a good offense, so maybe they should have stuck to defence.

@edaneo11 the people of Northern Ireland, Gibraltar and the Falklands have self-determination. They voted to stay. The people of Ukraine did and voted to leave.

@dipakbose2677 did they? They sold off many state assets in a stunning corrupt way. That's why the process failed. And if Russians don't want freedom why does Putin need to put so much time and effort into repressing the population and murdering political opponents? Also why is Russia's emigration rate so high?

It's not Putin's yet and if the war keeps going the way it is Ukraine will end up reclaiming it. Putin is stuck in the 20th century. He thinks of resources, manpower and lower tech industrial production are the keys to success in a high tech world. At best he will end up with gas and oil he can't get out of the ground and for which he has few customers for anyway.

@aroudedinsulance4307 Putin's trolls have upvote buttons too. That's why.

@bluebearonbits665 Ukraine is not Russian property. It's an independent nations and Putin's demands that it become a vassal state are not responsible.

@bluebearonbits665 Afghanistan was a sanctioned action under international law. And as bad as Iraq was, American wasn't trying to claim it's territory. Putin's invasion is something from the first half of the 20th century.

I would say we are learning for history. There has been far less appeasement with Putin than there was with Hitler.

@Emkei2010 if we do not support Ukraine Putin will only continue. If we fail to support Ukraine, Moldova will be next and he will turn his attention to Finland and the Baltic States. The what? Poland to follow? We will for forced to stand up to Putin's aggression sooner or later and the later we left it the harder it will be.

@Emkei2010 you say war is a very lucrative business for the West but what about all that money Russia has spent on defence only for it to be siphoned off into Putin's and the rest of his oligarch's pockets? Russian soilders lack basic equipment because Putin wanted a bigger super yacht.

@PDTLuke2238 no it's not, it's not even close. The people of Puerto Rico, Wales are part of those countries and the people living there want to keep it that way. Ukraine is an independent sovereign nation and has been for 3 decades. It voted overwhelming for that when the USSR broke up and its people overwhelming do not want to be part of Russia. It's not a stick situation, its a war of Russian aggression and territorial expansion against an independent nation.
