Judge: you client owes the government millions. Lawyer: Your honour, X gunna give it to ya.

The only thing you could say in Drake's defence is that he probably didn't write it....

Defendant: I didn't know about X Prosecution: Could you read this message you sent a year before the crash? Defendant: Oh don't worry about X. I've got X totally under control. I know all about X.

What would be the scariest would be if they were supportive and wanted to throw another one.

Judge: While the court finds the facts of the motion to be accurate, these facts alone are not enough for the motion to succeed. Lawyer: But your honour, she's really dumb.

Eron was a byzantine labyrinth of complex somehow legal accounting practices. FTX is like the equivalent of a troops of chimps spending a long weekend trashing an office.

Introvert gang: nightmare?

I issue is that people don't understand what foreign aid is. It's about furthering the political aims of the donor country. Maybe you want the receiving country to adopt a policy which might be unpopular in that country. Maybe you're looking to support your own local industry. Or you might be looking to outsource a problem to an country in a way which is cheaper for all concerned, but it's never out of the goodness of the country's heart.

@Lowmanification have you seen Wallstreet Bets? They'll wipe themselves out, post it, laugh about it and do it all again.
17
Honestly if you are basing financial decisions on the advice of people famous for being funny, throwing a football really well or being professionally good-looking, it's your own fault. I feel sorry for them, but a fool and their money and all that.
14
Weren't both his parents on the board?
14
It was a great moment of racial equality in the US as it showed that a man would no longer be judged by the colour of his skin but the contents of his wallet.
14
@Rogue_Leader sympathy points from the judge.
13
@benjaminmadrigalperez9010 I can't imagine anyone deciding whether to do heroin or not on the basis of free needles.
10
@avs813 so was it like an awkward stage in the legal system's development, between recognising that mental illness is a thing which needs to be considered and how to fully considered it?
9
@donmiller2908 I don't know. Wolf of Wallstreet guy seems to be doing alright for himself.
9
He befriended him first too. Where the hell does America find these people? It just makes no sense on any level. It's like a parody of a satirical take on US cops but it's real.
9
@Emmet Proxy I remember the Elon fans saying the same thing when experts on YouTube pointed out that his "bots on Twitter" claim was a non-starter in court.
8
@FifinatorKlon what country?
8
@avs813 oh ok. Thanks for the explanation.
7
I would like to see the courts take a tougher stance on misuse of the word literally.
7
I even seen a clip of a TV weatherman working the Not Like Us lyrics into his weather report. That song was EVERYWHERE
7
I know you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but reading the titles of the books they wrote..... well, it kinda gives you an idea of Sam's mentality. Also his dad is taking this year off work apparently.
7
@ARBITOR12 I think the difference is that the Rittenhouse case could have gone very differently depending on which state it happened in. In a state without "stand your ground laws" it very well could have resulted in manslaughter charges. Will's actions however are not self-defence in any state.
7
@lolilollolilol7773 in the video that exposed all this there is a Honey employee talking about it on a podcast. It was 100% a deliberate feature. They have openly bragged about most of the worst stuff they have done.
7
@bluester7177 you seem to be mixing up monogamy and cheating. Open relationships are fine if all parties are aware and agree. Cheating however does make you a bad person. It's deceitful and betrays the trust of a person you call is a loved one. Humans don't really fall clearly on either side of the monogamy thing biologically speaking. But if you want to use that to defend cheating then what do you think about all the other terrible things that are part of human nature? Everything from murder to SA to war have been observed in nature, including in our closest relatives.

"His loyalty could not be bought at any price, it could however be rented remarkably cheaply."
6
@sergiowolfpac NZXT's products burn someone and they sue. Tech, medical and legal.
6
Lotto lawyer sounds great. Just don't forget the punctuation on your business cards. Works on contingency? No, money down!
5
@liammarra4003 totally different shades of treason.
5
Hasn't Pepsi's expert's testimony been called into question recently by independent researchers?
5
@Dump_Truck_Pud it's illegal to deny coverage, but they do it anyway. Sometimes the people give up, sometimes they settle for less and sometimes it's too late by the time all the appealing is done.
5
@astrobullivant5908 Alec's was completely accidental. Doesn't make it right by any means but it does put it in a very different light. The Robert Wagner thing I only have a passing idea about but, you know, it's Hollywood. "Tragic deaths" with zero consequences wasn't rare. Hell rape has only just become a no-no for them. Another thing is this was in public, if they can keep things out of the public spotlight it all gets swept under the rug, one hand washes the other and all that.
5
@roryokane5907 wow 3 hours.
5
Start playing War Thunder.

That is sort of a rule the Republic of China (Taiwan) was a permanent member. The vote to transfer the per seat to the Peoples Republic of China (China) exuded the RoC. There was an attempt to exude Russia after Crimea however China vetoed it on the grounds that such talk should include Russia, after which Russia vetoed the resolution.
4
Insurance companies that don't assess and manage risk properly do. There are insurance companies that make money while not being a bunch of cunts.
4
Idk, everyone was saying the same about Elizabeth Holmes and she's more than a decade.
4
Whether it's like "giving dynamite to children" or not is a point for debate but it's certainly no different to the general financial sector. You know what? I take that back, they're not the same. Wallstreet Bets has self-awareness and knows how ridiculous they are.
4
@erinodonnell386 everyday people are not the one's with their money tied up in $GME shorts.
4
@AlexM-oq5el the role of those "unelected officials in Belgium" has just been transferred to unelected civil servants in London. Lol
4
It reminds me of that Clark and Dawe skit about the European debt crisis. Bryan: so they lost the lot? John: Oh no, Bryan. Much more than that, a hundred times more than the lot.
3
When your client literally "shits the bed".
3
Their loyalty couldn't be bought at any price; but it could be rented remarkably cheaply.
3
@NimhLabs well if the 100 years war had gone a little better...
3
@Sinaeb Elon Musk, for all his flaws, has delivered working products. Tesla for example has issues with quality control but they are selling cars that work.
3
@kevjtnbtmglr they had a working prototype when he got into Tesla. It wasn't good or something that could be put into production but it did exist. The other thing is that no one was disputing that electric cars are physically possible.
3
@cristlejohnson4900 don't you guys do that in civics (I think it's called). If they weren't listening the first time, they probably won't listen the second time. I think the problem is Americans needing to be half a para legal just to defend basic rights.
3
@occamraiser if you look at the UK without London it's a middle income country based on GDP per capita.
3
@aaronleverton4221 not necessarily. If they weren't subject to record keeping under Bahama law and as they were only registered as a money exchange in the US, it could be argued that they had no legal obligation to do so.
