  7. Let's give him that he only had one drink. Even then he shouldn't have been driving, but that's not what this is all about. I'd say he wasn't drunk, but still shouldn't have been driving. The cop said the same thing they always say, "I smelled the strong smell of alcohol." It's a scripted claim. They know what to say and claim that will get you convicted. They've honed these skills over many years, and they know how to railroad you. He did get out of it because of his money and celebrity, but it was mostly because he could afford really good lawyers. They know all the cop tactics for getting a conviction that's harsher than it needs to be. Anyone else would be out $10K before it was over and done with. And they'd be out a license for a year, have to pay higher insurance premiums for the next 5 years, and in some cases lose their job. He shouldn't have been driving, but he wasn't railroaded like the rest of us would be.

  9. Justin Timberlake refused a chemical test. If that was you, you wouldn't get the choice of refusing the test. His DWI was pled down to a moving violation. You would never get such a deal. All he has to do is pay $500 and make a commercial they can exploit. Yeah, if that was you, you'd be out $10K before it was all over and done with.
