Lol no. The latest and greatest AI code generation does the same stupid mistakes which it did 1.5 years ago. Like going in circles contradicting itself in the same chat session. Improvements have been only superficial, the fundamental problems of these systems being untrustworthy and unreliable remain unsolved.

@ Yes, it does, I'm trying it regularly and it always manages to fuck up something trivial within a single session and keeps arguing that it's right to add insult to injury. As for replacing useless programmers, they are doing it to save money, and the AI is only an excuse.

Correct, the only thing LLMs show us is how dumb (and greedy) most people are to confuse their outputs with actual reasoning.

We are very far away from that happening - all the current models do is regurgitate material while injecting errors. The simple logical errors they make are embarrassingly apparent when it comes to the so-called "reasoning" models. So if your job is like a plagiarizing search engine which makes errors, then you should be worried. If it involves precise thinking grounded in a lifetime of on-the-job experience, then good luck to AI parrot on replacing that skill.

This video is another example of confusing cause and effect. The AI vendors want to get billions of dollars in funding. Hence they are aggressively pushing their questionable and crappy AI technology. The technology is largely unable to sell and sustain itself - which is a visible proof of its crappiness. The real danger here is not robot replacing your job, it is your politician stealing your retirement money and putting it into AI bubble companies (i.e. into pockets of their pals).
