@Art Man The data concerning a very stable increase in actual infection rates (as opposed to the quickly rising number of tests performed). No lockdown laws needed to keep it in check, just common sense, hygiene and social distancing.

It's not about distancing, it's about handling your citizens like a bunch of dumb animals - which has happened everywhere except for Sweden! People can think for themselves and will adhere to social distancing and hygiene recommendations when informed properly. You don't need destructive laws for that purpose.

@Rommie26 No, they do not have "the highest death rate", they just don't throw their money out the window to perform hundreds of thousands of unnecessary tests! If you only test people who actually got sick and died, then you will have a high "death rate". If you test everyone who has a slight cough, suddenly your death rate will drop like a bomb. This is grade school arithmetics, but it seems to escape even our enlightened "leaders" and their "experts".

Isn't it nice is to have an official "enemy". After WW2 all the kids in Europe grew up in propaganda that the Germans were nazis and generally all around bad guys. Today for American and other kids it seems to be the evil Islam (notwithstanding that it's dumb like any other religion). Neither sugar nor fat alone will make you gain weight quickly - the first shifts metabolism toward glucose but also increases energy expenditure. The second tends to suppress appetite while glucose is low (simulated starvation of sorts). But when taken together, you will have a glucose-oriented metabolism flooded with extra fat, which will then lead to increased fat storage, which in turn will suppress your activity, to prepare for a famine which will never come. So essentially the problem is that people feed themselves food combos that never existed in nature and that they never stop.

For example, when some stupid politician in high rank spews some bullshit, it is not "the country" speaking or doing something, no, friends, it is only this single bastard. Right, he or she was admittedly voted into office by a bunch of other idiots from that particular country. Still, we should put blame on the person to which it belongs first, and only infer who is responsible for that person's stupidity later. That would help resolve many alleged "group conflicts", I suppose, because generally there are only two groups of people in the world: the dumb ones who want to fight each other and the smart ones who can get along just fine.

It is individuals who make decisions - bad or good. Accordingly, it is always individuals who deserve credit or blame. Groups are invented artificial concepts used to manipulate those individuals sorted into them in various ways. Don't fall for this bs. Consider this: if I started to claim that "people with green eyes did that" or "tap water drinkers are mostly to blame" you would rightly find any statements regarding such arbitrary pulled out of my ass groups ridiculous. But somehow if you substitute a geographical locations they become legit? Simply because such categories have been around for a long time or certain stupid people feel their "belonging"? Don't be a fool.

Jamaican senpai Even "government" is a bad classification - there are individual people in government who make decisions (or vote on them) and they should be held responsible individually for their actions. There is no "government" or "them" - there is just Mr. or Ms. X who is screwing up badly (or doing a good job as may be). This is by the way the fatal flaw of politics - that particular persons dissolve into "parties" or some other groups, so that their individual accountability and ethics disappears. Worse yet, those same people who screwed up royally instead of being kicked out once and for good just stay around to be reelected later by foolish "forgetful" voters - who prefer to think in "us vs them" groups rather than focus on what the individual representatives were up to. The blame to lay is of course not on the politicians - they are just lazy opportunists - but on the dumb people who get convinced that a group X did this or that. The world and politics would look quite different if people got themselves rid of the group-think disease.

DoesNotApply If you look at the amount of "socially acceptable" violence and economic poverty in bygone ages, it is not an "assumption" but a fact that we were different. We may be biologically the same, but social interactions change with improving economic status, and overpopulation is a sure way to destroy individual wealth. Self-serving actions of individuals do not need to be at odds with self-serving actions of other individuals if the pie is big enough. Plus, long-term self-serving actions are not the same as short-term self-serving actions, and it is our brains combined with knowledge amassed by technological and scientific progress that enable us to notice and choose accordingly. In short, it's a naive and silly assumption that we are self-destructive, can't change and everything's going to shit because of our bloodlust or whatever you're trying to say.

The key piece of information, which is now available, but not widely publicized, is that among all the people tested the incidence of the virus is remaining around 10-15% and is NOT increasing exponentially (it's growing, but very slowly). What IS growing exponentially in most places is the number of performed tests. And, as an obvious consequence, the number of DETECTED cases is also growing at that rate. The differences in testing are also the reason why death rates appear to vary so widely across countries. Shame on the public health authorities and politicians that they keep this crucial information hidden from the public (i.e. never included in the "dashboards" or reports of increasing case numbers) just to keep us scared and compliant with their nonsensical lockdown measures. But this is also the exact reason why there will not be the sort of apocalypse that they had predicted in the beginning. You can't blame the initial reaction very much, but you can and SHOULD blame not changing course in face of this new data. (The stock market, driven by much smarter people, already realizes that. That, combined with the excessive liquidity pumping, is why it is not collapsing and will not be collapsing anytime soon.) When asked why a broad cross-population testing was not being performed (which would prove the above point of constant incidence rate further), Germany's RKI chief only answered that it was "not constructive" and declined further comment. Which just shows that he is not currently following the goal of correctly informing the public, he is following political instructions from above. At this point many people high in office DO NOT WANT this "pandemic" to end too quickly as they would lose face and political support because of what would seem like very poor decisions. It's much better for them to let this "test pandemic" continue until they can, at their own convenience, reduce testing and then declare "victory" despite all the "huge sacrifices", of course thanks to their "wise guidance" and "public solidarity" (all of which was not necessary in the first place, but they just found out too late, after they had already fucked up).

Objectively, Sweden IS doing great, no worse than any other country, and much better than those in which the "rescue interventions" caused the health system to collapse. Meanwhile Swedish people are under EXTREME propaganda pressure from the rest of the world to change course. I just wish they don't budge, so that the rest of the world can view them as heroes of reason and learn their lesson once this is over (which will be the case very soon, based on data so far).

So, basically in the 21st century the Chinese have turned one of their major cities into a concentration camp, for no apparent reason. And everybody is upset about Putin's crimes against humanity. All the while, the much respected Mr. Gates advises exactly the same sort of measures in his newest book. And most people in so-called civilized nations still believe that a "pandemic response" is right and necessary and the Chinese-led WHO, for which you see an advertisement right below this video, is working on making it mandatory for all governments to follow its instructions.
