  2. Dane Cook is the Nickelback of comedy. Agreed that, for some reason, it just became cool to bag on the guy even though I can't recall anything he's done that really bugged me. I wasn't aware of the joke-stealing allegations. The ones against Mencia have been proven time and again.

  3. richard martinez It would be nice if he eventually went back and did a few big shows, but he's producing movies now, and he's getting a little up there in age to be doing the same kind of material he did in the past. I'm not sure anyone's going to buy a more "sophisticated" sort of observational comedy they like from older comedians.

  4. Try Bill Burr. He has 3 specials on NF. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

  6. I grant that if they are including Gallagher, they should be including Dice, even though I'd leave both off because they're so out-dated although the latter has the TV show now.

  7. I disagree, to some extent. Outside of media types and critics, have you ever really heard an average person say how much they hate Jeff Dunham? Kind of the same deal for Kathy Griffin, although there are also a lot of people who claim to dislike her because they think they are supposed to.

  8. Yeah. When "Trainwreck" hit I decided to try to watch her TV show. I just couldn't really get through it. Not everyone's humor is the same, but her stuff just seems like the same 2 or 3 subjects over and over. If people hate Sara Silverman, no way Schumer remains popular. One more "Trainwreck" follow-up and it's curtains.

  9. I think it works best to watch Burr's specials in chronological order as well. The third one is funny on its own but I think it's made better since you can follow him from the first one where he's single, through to the third one where he's basically lost all his hair and has a kid.
