Damn. How many seconds did this guy "live" in the U.S.? Did he ever leave the metro that he called home? First, it should be pointed out that the segregation is selective. People are choosing freely to live with "their own kind" or are economically segregated, which does occur in UK. When I joined the Army and we arrived at Basic Training, the black men segregated themselves from the rest of us immediately. Second, the U.S. doesn't have institutional racism either. That's illegal, and if it pops up it's punished. Third, whether the U.S. is "violent" is subjective. Almost no civilians walk around carrying guns, for example. There are dangerous areas of metros but THAT occurs in UK as well. But you have to leave the large cities once in awhile to realize that a country that is foreign to you is not represented by places like NYC and DC.
