These folks saw that their tax dollars were going out the door and never benefitting them beyond the bare minimum that the city is required to do. And the people getting that money just got worse. I applaud them for breaking off.

  5. For all the people hoping this will start a trend, not every state is set up like Louisiana. A lot of suburbs are not served so much by the county other than law enforcement or hospitals. Theyll just end up cut off. But it doesn't hurt to try.

  9. I did the math, based on my memory of the numbers. Baton Rouge just became 82.2% black. This place should be Walanda in no time! 😂
