  1. The reason for college aged kids being so nervous, and choosing safety over anything else is the demise of the American family. Women tend to be more neurotic than men, and many women are raising their children, alone. It also may have to do with women filling important leadership positions in too many areas of American life, and all areas of American life open to both men and women.
