  191. Gerald Morgan has a damn good point. If Steven Crowder and Daily Wire were friends, then why did Jeremy Boering and co. go out of their way to lowball Crowder as much as possible? That's hardly what a friend would do. If Crowder and Boering are friends, then why did Boering decide to capitalize on an incoming feud by releasing a monetized video disingenuously explaining the contract? Why didn't Boering just meet Crowder in person so they could go over the contract together? Why didn't he send Crowder a personalized contract to begin with? Why didn't he adjust in order to deal with Crowder's personality flaws? If Crowder and Ben Shapiro, a Never-Trumper, are friends, then why has Shapiro been behaving increasingly catty on Twitter? It's to the point where he looks like he'll accuse the pro-Israel Crowder of being an anti-Semite. If Crowder and Matt Walsh are friends, then why did Walsh decide to toss his hat in the ring despite (theoretically) having the least amount of skin in the game? If Crowder and Candace Owens, a sophomoric harpy with a history of doxxing and secretly recording people, including Nicole Arbour, are friends, then why has Owens become increasingly catty? It's at the point where she seems like she's going to give Crowder the same treatment she gave Arbour. If Boering is such a great businessman, then why did he give a potential employee a contract that he knew would never fly? Why didn't he invite Crowder to dinner or a luncheon so they could discuss his contract in person? Why didn't he just send Crowder a commission-based contract where Crowder gets paid per project to make exclusive content for DW using his own production studio? This would test the waters on what's permissible on YouTube, and DW could have potentially added sketch comedy to their catalogue. Speaking of which, rumor has it that's the straw that broke the camel's back. Crowder didn't want to move to Nashville to become a talking head sitting in a studio with 2-3 cameras. Crowder's side isn't the only one that reeks of fish. The way it still looks is that he had to learn the hard way that the DW crew were never really his friends to begin with. They're just neocons and maybe even RINOs, the same kind of people that he declared political war on months ago. Again, DW thought that Louder with Crowder was owed to them, and they seriously believed that Crowder would ultimately agree to their terms. If there's one lesson that conservatives should take from this, it's to not expect big companies and big internet celebrities to fight our cultural battles. Lastly, Jack Posobiec still has the best take.

  212. I noticed that an old guy in an Ohio State cap was interviewed by Nick Johnson and he's one of the sharpest guys I've seen in Springfield. Although no one explicitly confirmed that they gave these new Comers a chance, the old man is clearly doing the neighborly thing. 20,000 Catholic immigrants are being spat on the moment they step into America. Sounds awfully familiar, doesn't it? 🤔 "The speed with which Springfield has changed is unique; but Springfield as a town is not... To some, the Haitian immigrants (who, to repeat, are there legally) are an unambiguous positive. They are being hailed by business owners as good workers who show up on time, mind their own business, don't do drugs, and work hard. Teachers say their children are enriching the learning environment and adding an interesting layer of diversity to the schools. Local church leaders say the pews are full again... For landlords, they are tenants who will pay their rent on time and even pay more than they could get previously, because some are willing to live in groups inside a single-family home. But many locals have a different perspective: Longtime Springfield residents are struggling, and some say they are being priced out of housing because the Haitian migrants arrive with jobs and government assistance. The Haitians are apparently having a very hard time driving safely in town, and have been involved in many accidents (more than just the one that killed 11-year-old Aidan Clark, whose dad has publicly asked people not to use his son to demonize the immigrant community). Healthcare services are harder to get. Schools are being pushed to their limits with enrollment. Budgets for social services are ballooning because of the need to hire Creole speakers and ESL teachers. This story — one where a wave of immigrants can simultaneously help revitalize certain industries while also pushing government resources and housing to the brink — this is a fascinating story about how immigration in the U.S. works today. It is big and messy and not unambiguously good or bad. It's the story we should be talking about, and solving for. We might discuss, for instance, why Haitian immigrants with jobs are being given a year of food stamps and government assistance through refugee programs when they are gainfully employed with stable housing. We might debate why these services seem more accessible to immigrants than to local U.S. residents. We might discuss how to better train foreign citizens to drive in the U.S. before they put themselves and their neighbors in danger. We might ask what kind of programs the employers (who clearly want these workers) or local religious groups can provide to lessen the burden on government services that are being overwhelmed so that veterans don’t have to wait in line for hours to receive their benefits... These immigrants are here, so how do we harness the good and mitigate the bad? 20,000 people from a desperately poor and violent country came to a small town with a clearly stated desire: They want to work. They have a different culture, a different language, and a desire to build a good life among their neighbors. Some will be bad apples, but most will do their best to make a living and get along with their neighbors." - Isaac Saul

  377. Interesting that, among other things, the part where Steven Crowder brings up the business model isn't used. He wasn't exactly wrong. The Daily Wire claims to be flipping Big Tech the bird when all they did is just hop on the train and follow the everchanging rules and guidelines. It's not a sustainable business model and sooner or later it will bite them in the butt. Frankly, both the offer and Jeremy's words in the phone call, which was a business call because the two parties were discussing business, point towards one conclusion: DW is yet another conservative company that's run by a bunch of corporate neocons who really want to be liked by mainstream media. Ben Shapiro is in fact a corporate neocon and you can look it up if you don't believe me. I find it very interesting that Crowder's reasons for leaving TheBlaze as well as the fact that Elijah Schaffer was fired were omitted because the two are linked. While we'll likely never the whole reasons behind Schaffer's firing, he was repeatedly getting into fights with Glenn Beck over what he could and couldn't cover (ex. the Israeli-Palestinian conflict). Word on the street is that a driving factor behind Crowder leaving is that the bigwigs wanted to moderate his content (more). Moderation is exactly what would have happened if Crowder moved to DW regardless of whatever contract was offered. After all, as an example, we all know for a fact that Crowder's use of the r-word wouldn't fly under DW's terms. Even more interesting is the fact that Crowder's attempt to mitigate the situation by confirming that he's still fond of Shapiro, Andrew Klavan, and Jeremy Boering himself, Shapiro's and Candance Owens's videos and Twitter posts were left out. Shapiro claimed to not be caving into Big Tech whilst confirming that they do in fact cave into Big Tech's rules. Owens failed to address the meat of Crowder's video, and they both have been acting quite catty on Twitter. Crowder on the other hand shared his videos on Twitter and has not since made any new tweets about this situation. There is one particular angle that wasn't addressed here. Crowder and the Daily Wire crew may never have truly been friends in the first place. Shapiro & Boering may have very well just been currying favor with him in order to acquire Louder with Crowder, and Crowder may have learned that the hard way. Admittedly, I don't know that much about Boering, but Shapiro is absolutely that much of a money-grubbing, conniving weasel. He throws millions of dollars at Facebook so he doesn't get throttled instead of flipping them the bird by jumping ship to VK, Diaspora, MeWe, or another alternative. Not to mention we still don't know the full details of his meeting with Mark Zuckerberg. Lastly, it looks like Rumble may be attempting to woo him into signing a deal, and YoungRippa59 still has the definitive take.

  532. So, we should ignore the fact that two of the reddest states in the Union enacted women's suffrage in such a way that they've been red for generations upon generations? More important, should we ignore the fact that behind every great feminist is a greater man greasing the wheels? Think about it: ⚫Men were at that 1848 Seneca Falls meeting, one of them being Frederick Douglass. ⚫George Francis Train supported Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and he launched The Revolution, a women's rights newspaper. ⚫Representative Thetus W. Sims voted in favor of suffrage. ⚫James Mott, who served as chairman of the Seneca Falls Women’s Rights Convention (and was one of the men who signed the Declaration of Sentiments). was the husband of Lucretia Mott. ⚫Daniel Anthony, the father of Susan B. Anthony, signed the Declaration of Sentiments. ⚫When Henry Blackwell married Lucy Stone, their vows included the declaration that their marriage “implie[d] no sanction of, nor promise of voluntary obedience to such of the present laws of marriage as refuse to recognize the wife as an independent, rational being, while they confer upon the husband an injurious and unnatural superiority.” He served as an editor of what would eventually become the official newspaper of the National American Woman Suffrage Association, the Woman’s Journal. ⚫Francis Minor, husband of suffragist Virginia Minor, was a lawyer and a women’s rights advocate. In 1869, Minor wrote a pamphlet declaring that—based on the wording of the Fourteenth Amendment—national women’s suffrage was already legal. ⚫Men advised and funded the presidential campaign and publications of Victoria Woodhull and numerous other feminist projects and figures, such as Gloria Steinem and Ms. Magazine, with international communism creating and funding a feminist unit two years after Congress voted in the19th Amendment. ⚫Where would Simone de Beauvoir be without her husband? ⚫Rosa Parks's arrest was part of the ongoing Birmingham Bus Boycott, orchestrated by men with political savvy and experience. ⚫Where would Anita Sarkeesian be without the support of men like Tim Schafer and Neil Druckmann? ⚫How many women are tied to Soros money? ⚫How many prominent feminists were backed by Justin Trudeau and/or Gavin Newsom? ⚫How many women owe Graham Linehan a great deal of gratitude? Furthermore, did you forget that JPT is a pickme? https://youtu.be/LcVpAvH8LvI
