  1. How many of them actually voted for it? Some very noticeable disparities arise when you look at how exactly CA votes even if you were to limit your scope to just Los Angeles. Don't believe me? Look up "California’s Political Geography 2020" by Eric McGhee.

  2. Bear in mind that there are noticeable disparities if you look at how the whole state votes. CA's situation is that the coastal cities dominate it. Inland tends to vote Republican with NorCal being the most conservative, if not deep red.
