@genzcurmudgeon8037 Because the GOP doesn't need the unnecessary friction of DeSantis vs Trump.

He can't win the Republican primary without striking a Faustian bargain. He needs to keep the establishment GOP in Florida at bay.

@mykalkelley8315 You should see John Doyle's latest video.

The Democrats also astroturfed their competition.

@knee_grow4892 Why do you want him to steal the torch from Trump? Why do you want to strike a Faustian bargain? Are you an establishment Republican?

A red trickle may prove to be better than a red wave.

And the corpse known as Anthony DeLuca.

Heck, I'm skeptical that even the Governator with Larry Elder as his lieutenant could win save CA.
2
He can also finance the campaigns of conservative candidates who will replace the establishment GOP.
2
And conservatives left blue states, and Democrats astroturfed their competition.

You need him more than the rest of the country does. He keeps the establishment Republicans down there at bay.

@frostfang7670 The only way he can win is by striking a Faustian bargain. That will return the U.S.to the status quo.

It's a minor detail, but it should be noted that Ron DeSantis kept looking down at his note card(s), so for all the comparisons to Trump, he's not very similar. Stu Burguiere mad an astute point about how a red trickle could prove to be better than a red wave. The Democrats will not learn their lesson and get even cockier as a result. A few important factors that were at play should have been mentioned in this video. First, the Republicans fell into the trap that Democrats typically fall into where the polls leading into the midterms will point to sweeping wins only for the actual results to be nowhere near that mark. Second, the polls didn't focus on young millennials and zoomers, both of which have become the most important voting blocs. Last, and most important, the Democrats astroturfed their competition. They spent millions of dollars financing the campaigns of numerous "election-denying MAGA Republicans" because they thought that those would be the easiest candidates to defeat. PBS has a video explaining this Democratic campaign.

Sounds similar to Alaska's problem.

You need to look up Ron DeSantis's congressional record and watch John Doyle's latest video. DeSantis is being astroturfed into the 2024 presidential race and you're encouraging it. Trump will run, Democrats will initiate their shenanigans, and the only way that DeSantis will be able to win is by striking a deal with the devil, and even then, the devil may decide to stab him in the back before the race finishes. Should he win, the White House will be flooded with establishment Republicans who will do their damnedest to return the country to the status quo.

Don't forget that Democrats will astroturf their competition.

@NoahBodze Because he's surrounded by the GOP establishment.
1
Keep in mind that he'll need to strike a Faustian bargain in order to win the primary and the presidential race.

@terrygrant9140 Keep in mind that DeSantis is part of the establishment. He's not an outsider like Trump, and he's in favor of antisemitism bills. What do you suppose his opinion of Gab is, hmm?

Look up his congressional record.
