The crave of exploration and discoveries started to flourish during the Renaissance. The artistic and intellectual boom during the Trecento is mostly a competition about prestige… just like the bone war or the space race. The incentive to send Marco Polo to open a direct trade route with China is due to demand in exotic resources to show off wealth.

  2.  Broski Snowski  especially when the bigbang theory has still solid arguments that needs to be proved wrong. For now, astronomic observations shows the universe expansion but nothing can be seen older than the cosmic microwave background which allows several hypothesis. Though this quite recent regrow of obscurantist beliefs is concerning for the future generations.
