Am Colombian and the information in the description have many erroneous information, like location, what they were doing there, the helicopter characteristics etc, How I know this simple the crew was interviewed in national TV and they narrated everything as it happened the problem is the hole interview is in Spanish. But to summarize this helicopter belongs to the army air assault division, their mission was the captured of elimination of a FARC HVT, when they were fires at they had already deployed 5 soldiers of the 10 they have to all of this via rappel all, so they left with the other five and came back later to finish the mission, why hovering the simple there’s no other option because landing is not an option.
