@gillps5130 Actually, he was imprisoned in Karelia, near Finland, 5 000 kilometers away from the place in the book. And he was working as a cook in the kitchen. And he wrote the book not from historical archives or even from personal experience, but from the stories of other prisoners. It's just a collection of "prison tales", literary, but definitely not historical.
