This 'journalist' is talking out of his butt! Crimea held a referendum and asked to join the Russian Federation after the West installed a right-wing Government in Ukraine. The genocide in the Donbas happened AFTER the installation of said Govt and AFTER Putin accepted Crimea's application. Russian troops took leave and crossed the border to help defend their fellow ethnic Russians from the attacks by the Ukrainian Army. "The non-intervention in Syria" - Russia prevented the West's regime change in Syria, which also derailed the West's plan to build a gas pipeline from Qatar to Turkey via Syria, to supply Europe instead of Russia.

@markhughes7927 Ukraine's gas transit fees are already dropping from $2bn to an estimated $1.25bn this year for European gas from Russia. Their economy is already suffering and NS2 will make it worse. They'll be going cap-in-hand to someone soon!
